Challenge – System Optimization and Clean-Up

Problem: A small music-recording studio was frustrated with the instability and reliability of their core recording applications. During the few occasions that their systems worked, their applications would crash. On the few occasions they were able to record, the sound quality was inferior. These problems severely jeopardized their day to day business.

Solution: After a thorough analysis of the existing hardware and software, we identified that the operating system they were using was inappropriate for their unique requirements. We researched viable alternatives and installed a new operating system. Together with configuring the new operating system, we also reinstalled and configured their existing applications so that they not only worked harmoniously, but also worked well with the variety of musical input devices that were unique to this network.

Results: The company's productivity was increased ten-fold, as their energies could now be redirected to their core business of recording. Quality of their recordings was also improved due to a cleaner sound derived from the improvements we made to their systems.
